My Review of the Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet

As an old soul who loved rock and roll and fast cars, I always wanted to own a fine automobile. I had a few in mind as I built my businesses and raised my family. After looking a variety of different cars, I finally settled on what has become my dream-come-true car: my Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet.

If you ever see me driving around Baiting Hollow, New York, you will see me in my Porsche. This car feeds my soul and lets me escape from the hustle and bustle of running a company and raising a family. It is crazy what some as simple as a convertible with a powerful engine will do to take away your cares – even just for a brief moment. Add in a little rock and roll music and there really isn’t much better than cruising the neighborhood in my Carrera.

What makes this car so special? There are plenty of things.

This car has the look of a classic sports car. The Porsche 911 has been in production since 1963 and every model year looks good. The car has a unique shape that separates it from all others and its German engineering means it is built to last. When you see a 911 cruising down the road, there is not a doubt that it is a Porsche as no other car looks like the 911. Whether you are looking at a Porsche 911 from 1963, 1973, or 2013, there is no mistaking the bold headlights, rounded rear, and sexy styling.

My Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet has one powerful engine. It is turbocharged and manages to have fuel economy, too. This 3.0 liter twin turbocharged engine is a flat six-cylinder engine that is fast and fuel efficient. There is serious horsepower in the engine and the torque keeps it from getting too sassy at higher rates of speed. The torque starts up when the engine is moving between 1700 and 5000 RPM and the car redlines at 7500 RPM. Since the engine cools itself, there is no problem pushing the 7-speed manual up near the redline.

This kitten purrs, too. The turbo does have the familiar whine, but the grumble of the flat six 3.0 liter balances out the sound. When I step on the gas, the turbo is immediately responsive. This is a modern turbo designed by the best in the business, not an old-school model with lag. This car flies.

Every time I look at my Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet, I am reminded of a quote from the movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. It may have been a long time since I attended high school, I can appreciate the fact that Bueller took the day off in another classic sports car, a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT. In the film, he speaks directly to the audience as he looks in the camera and advises them to buy their own. “It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.”

I have to say that I honestly advise anyone who can to add a Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet to their lives. It is truly a choice automobile. I’m glad I made the choice to buy my very own

I started two chemical companies. My first one was Shari Chemical. I had to shut it's doors and rethink what went wrong. After reworking my business plan, in 2005, I started Environmental Safety Inc. This company is successful because I learned from failure.
